Oct / Nov Could Be a Caxton

The NPA New Zealand's 'Rugby World Cup' newspaper ad is the Oct / Nov winner of the Could Be a Caxton competition.

The Newspaper Publishers' Association of New Zealand's "Send a paper" topical newspaper ad has been announced as the October / November winner of the Could Be a Caxton competition.

Judge's comments

Says Ben Welsh, executive creative director at M&C Saatchi and the judge of the October / November competition:
"This one Could Be a Caxton finalist. Yes, it's easier than doing something for a car or bank. Yes, it only works because the All Blacks won the Rugby World Cup. And yes, nice big newspaper ads are much more likely when you are doing an ad for the Newspaper industry. But the thought is original and it made me smile rather than yawn."

 

Enter the competition  

The December / January Could Be a Caxton competition is now open for entries.  It's free to enter and anyone can submit nominations.  The copywriter and art director responsible for the newspaper campaign judged best of the year's Could Be a Caxton bi-monthly winning ads, will score an all expenses-paid trip to the 2012 Caxton Awards.
