More executions for NSW Mining “facts” campaign.

Now in its third week, the NSW Minerals Council (NSWMC) continues with their education campaign that addresses a variety of misconceptions about mining in the state in regards to land usage, water usage and other environmental factors. By doing so, the campaign aims to shift public sentiment into positive territory.

The latest instalments look at the impact mining has on the environment, informing audiences of environmental restoration and rehabilitation with two creatively different executions. These advertisements ran in the early general news section of Sydney metropolitan newspapers during the week.

Previous newspaper ads in the campaign addressed land usage and the role mining plays in suppling essential services to the community.

In July 2011, The Newspaper Works tested a range of newspaper ads from the Mining & Resource sector to see how consumers responded to their Pubilc Agenda, Re-Appraisal and Affinity-based messaging. View the results of the Creative Benchmarking results.
