In papers April 23

Newspaper ads from the "Wake Up" teaser campaign.

A full-page teaser ad, using only a single line of copy, “Wake Up”, has run in a Sydney metropolitan newspaper during the week.

The teaser is a part of a campaign believed to be counting down to the launch of a mystery product in Australia, as shown on the website http://wake-up-australia.com.au

The teaser was also integrated across newspaper platforms, taking over the news.com.au website.

On top of newspapers, the campaign is also utilising ambient marketing. A black bus branded with ‘Wake Up’ was parked outside the Sydney Apple store last week accompanied with a staged protest. The campaign spread to YouTube with video by blogger Nate “Blunty” Burr who recorded the event (he claimed to have been at the venue by coincidence).

Bondi Ice Bergs pool has experienced the ambient treatment with the words ‘Wake up’ written on the bottom of the pool, and a series of billboards have also been placed around town.
